COLONIAL LIMA AND SAN FRANCISCO CATACOMBS
The Viceroyalty of Peru was the most important colonial district in the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. It was founded by the Spanish Francisco Pizarro on February 18, 1535 and was also called Capital of the Viceroyalty of New Castile. 

On our tour, starting at the Paseo de la Republica we will see the Palace of Justice, the Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor de Armas, Government Palace, City Hall and its Colonial Balconies, the Cathedral of Lima and finish by visiting the Catacombs and the incredible Museum of San Francisco de Asis.

This visit will be guided by a bilingual tour guide, which chronicles the step by-step-story of colonial architecture, religious icons and works of art in this ancient museum.
